Dale Cox is the founder of Trans-Tech, LLC, a pioneering manufacturer of AAR-approved vinyl decals for the rail industry. With over five decades of experience in railcar repair, inspection, sales, and manufacturing, his journey is marked by hard work, vision, and a steadfast faith in God.
Born and raised in El Reno, Oklahoma, Dale developed a love for baseball and a deep respect for integrity and determination—values inspired by his father. A memorable highlight of his youth was playing American Legion baseball against Johnny Bench.
Dale’s rail career began in 1966 with the Rock Island Railroad as an apprentice carman. After earning his Journeyman’s Carman Certificate, he held leadership roles with major companies including United States Rail Equipment, North American Car Corporation, General Electric Rail Car, Trinity Industries, and Pacific Railcar. These positions spanned technical services, repair management, sales, and quality control—offering Dale a deep and well-rounded understanding of the rail industry.
In 1994, inspired by a God-given vision, Dale founded Trans-Tech, LLC. Starting as a one-man operation, he built the company on a foundation of honesty, dependability, and technical excellence. Trans-Tech quickly became one of the first to supply vinyl rail decals that met strict AAR standards and supported environmental efforts to reduce VOC emissions. Working closely with 3M and Avery, Dale helped secure critical material approvals, solidifying the company’s reputation.
Now celebrating 31 years of success, Trans-Tech continues to stand apart through quality, personalized service, and a commitment to on-time delivery. Dale credits the company’s longevity to faith, perseverance, and a willingness to do the hard work others won’t.
